MOOD JUKEBOX

I love music. My Spotify Wrapped had me well over 100,000 minutes before the year was even over, but to me, that’s not very surprising. Music isn’t something I reach for only in specific moments (like when I'm driving or working out); music is something I use to shape how those moments feel.

It makes cleaning my apartment go by quicker, pulls me deeper into a yoga flow, and turns a dinner party into something louder, and messier. Because of that, I organize my playlists by mood, instead of genre. Instead of asking myself "what do I want to listen to?", I ask "what am I feeling right now?"

Mood Jukebox came out of that shift. It’s a way to more succinctly move from emotion to music; where playlists are built around states of mind, and you can search using loose, human input. Something like, “oh god I just had the worst day at the office and I need to relax.”

Yeah, don't worry, there’s a playlist for that. Check it out.
